In 1995 I joined WebTV's quest to bring the internet to anyone's television. I created much of the WebTV interface including the UI widgets, panels, and buttons, as well as icons for the home page and content pages. Here are two screen shots of the early WebTV Interface
In addition I programmed the first version of "Explore", the WebTV content web guide, and wrote some authoring tools for creating content for the WebTV service. I also wrote an interactive survey tool for creating and viewing interactive results of live questionnaires. I also created a MIDI Jukebox application, but we never featured it in the service because of legal problems with playing midi and music files.
I created both the fake Artemis Research website in 1995 and the first WebTV site in 1996
In my last two years at WebTV I was a Technical Producer in the Interactive TV Group. I worked with content developers to help create interactive content for television shows such as Monday Night Football, Judge Judy, The Rose Parade, Home and Garden TV, and others. I created demos, examples, and prototypes for interactive TV applications, such as live interactive baseball stats overlayed over the game.
